Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in customer service. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage transactions efficiently while providing excellent service to our customers. The Cashier will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately, and assisting with various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers.
• Assist in training new cashiers and provide supervisory support when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions securely while adhering to company policies.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including basic troubleshooting of equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a cashier or customer service role; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in manufacturing processes preferred.
• Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and welding techniques is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to facilities maintenance tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$22.07 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
