Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in food service environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic restaurant setting, ensuring high-quality meal production and excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall kitchen operations.
Duties
- Ideal candidate has access to car and preferably live in the Vaughan area
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
- Follow all food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure health standards are met
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs
Experience
- Previous 2 years experience in food industry roles such as restaurant or kitchen work is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Experience in serving or meal preparation is necessary
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow directions accurately

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $17.60-$21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 27 – 35 per week
