RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

The incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

  • Heavy equipment technician certificate is an asset but not necessary
  • Knowledge of equipment operation in the construction and/or forest industry, and the ability to understand the equipment and their specific use.
  • Experience in diagnosing hydraulic and electrical problems
  • Experience in welding and some metal fabrication

· Travel to worksites and repair the equipment, research and add parts to work orders as required

  • Minimum 7 years work experience

· Ensure a clean and safe workplace

· Help out with other related tasks when needed such as loading and unloading freight trucks using forklifts or other equipment

· Conform to company standards and processes

· Strong leadership skills and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

· Priority management

· Ability to work with others and maintain positive interactions while being able to work independently and adapt easily to different situations

· Willingness to do the job well while respecting quality and safety standards and ensuring customer satisfaction

· Well-organized and attention to detail

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Fluency in English (oral and written)
  • French language skills are an asset but not necessary
  • Drivers abstract may be required
