Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient operation of our café. This role requires a blend of culinary skills, sales acumen, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing.
  • Engage with customers to provide outstanding service, including upselling menu items to enhance their dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Assist in food handling and preparation tasks, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours in a quick-service or fast-food restaurant setting.
  • Perform bussing duties as needed to maintain a clean dining environment for guests.

Skills

  • Proven culinary experience in food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Familiarity with Aloha POS and Micros POS systems is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Sales skills with an emphasis on upselling menu items to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry.
  • Experience in cashiering and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
