Electrical Estimator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems & be capable of creating complete estimates & takeoffs. This role requires a strong ability to read blueprints and schematics & knowledge of how to complete accurate takeoffs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complete, accurate, competitive and profitable electrical estimates for commercial, industrial & institutional projects, including design-build, bid-spec, service work & tenders, change orders;
- Manage and review all documentation pertaining to a project, including reviewing schematics, blueprints, drawings, technical aspects, and ensuring all changes to project scope are properly documented;
- Calculate material takeoffs, labour requirements, and equipment costs based on specs, drawings & or provided details;
- Seek & negotiate material and equipment pricing from suppliers;
- Seek pricing from subcontractors when necessary;
- Quantify and complete all aspects of tender or project requirements, written specifications, submittals, and required drawings;
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the estimation process;
- Collaborate with team members to discuss and refine project scope and requirements;
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimates; attend site and pre-construction meetings;
- Monitor ongoing projects to adjust estimates based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances;
- Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs;
- Project manage and oversee successful completion of projects and service work;
- Perform site visits for ongoing projects & service work to manage success, profitability, compliance & safety;
- Seek new sales through various methods such as cold calls, tenders, existing clientele, networking, etc;

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
