Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mandarin Assistant Teacher to support classroom activities and foster a positive learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will assist lead teachers in implementing educational programs, supervising students, and ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in early childhood education and make a meaningful impact on children's development.

Duties

  • Support lead teachers in planning and executing daily classroom activities aligned with curriculum standards
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest periods
  • Assist with classroom management to promote positive behavior and social skills
  • Help facilitate learning experiences in areas such as math, literacy, and social-emotional development
  • Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to education
  • Support children's emotional well-being by offering encouragement and guidance

Qualifications

  • Prior classroom experience or work with children is preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmental milestones
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Ability to foster a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Basic understanding of math concepts suitable for early childhood education
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners
  • Relevant certifications or training in early childhood education or related fields are advantageous but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.75-$25.73 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
