MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology:

  • Responsible for design, development, delivery, and support of technical solutions for MSWM business.
  • Comprises 10 organizations including Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, and more.

Department Profile:

  • Client Channels Technology is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm's WM Technology Division.
  • Focus on developing client-facing websites and mobile applications.
  • Open and collaborative environment for developing and supporting external client-facing web and mobile applications.

Position Description:

  • Hiring for E*TRADE and *** Wealth Management App team.
  • On-site position in Calgary office (minimum of 3 days a week).
  • Looking for an engineer who understands performance, architecture, and Apple's frameworks.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect and build robust, scalable iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Write clean, testable, maintainable code with a strong emphasis on performance and reliability.
  • Dive deep into Apple APIs to solve real-world problems elegantly.
  • Optimize performance using profiling tools, concurrency strategies, and thoughtful design.
  • Mentor other developers and help shape the technical culture of the Calgary office.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate development, freeing up time for deeper thinking and more impactful work.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong CS fundamentals including memory management, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
  • Deep iOS expertise with experience in building and shipping complex apps.
  • Architectural thinking with experience in designing modular, testable systems.
  • Curiosity and craftsmanship in building applications.
  • Fluency in the ecosystem including CI/CD, app signing, provisioning, and full lifecycle of an iOS app.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to explain code and decisions.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on being thoughtful, curious, and easy to work with.
  • AI maturity in using AI tools to enhance workflow.

How We Interview:

  • Phone screen includes walking through three examples from your own code.
  • Focus on Swift Language, Apple APIs & Frameworks, and Apple Ecosystem.
  • Looking for engineers who think deeply, communicate clearly, and care about iOS development.

Additional Required Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Experience developing APIs.
  • Awareness of Android app development.
