Overtime Method: | Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 Hours

Site Description:
The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital's emphasis on general medicine and general surgery reflects its role in providing core services. Specialists from Kingston regularly hold clinics at the hospital. The range and scope of those clinics continue to expand as the hospital grows. Emergency services, operating 24 hours a day, see in excess of 26,000 patients per year.

Job Description:

Conduct proactive and reactive patrols across the main site and associated facilitiesMonitor surveillance systems and perform patient watches.Respond to incidents, intervene when required, and use de-escalation techniquesInvestigate routine incidents and complete clear, detailed, and accurate reportsEnforce parking, smoking, and other site-specific by-laws, policies, and proceduresLead or support emergency responses (e.g., fire, flood, power outage)Ensure all shift documentation, audits, and key controls are completed accuratelyReview shift paperwork and documentation submitted by staffTrain and mentor new team membersCoordinate scheduling for last-minute book-offs or sick callsPerform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Minimum 6+ months healthcare security experience required6+ months supervisor experience preferredValid Ontario Security LicenseValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved source)Proof of double COVID-19 vaccinationA copy of immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2) Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position. Steps to get your immunization records:

Immunization-Record-Ontario-Fluency in English (oral and written)Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availabilityLegally authorized to work in Canada
