Job Overview

Flowerette is a growing full service floral and retail shop located in Terminal 1 of Toronto Pearson Airport.We are looking for a new Senior Florist with managerial experience who is expected to move into the General Manager role by the Summer 2026. The ideal candidate will have extensive floral design experience and experience managing a team.

Responsibilities (Florist)

  • Create unique and stunning arrangements for everyday shoppers, passengers, and staff of the airport.
  • Process, condition, and maintain inventory/flowers with proper care.
  • Offer customer service in English (fluent) and French (preferred).
  • Open and close the store following all Flowerette and airport procedures.
  • Handle transactions through a POS system.
  • Help customers with floral and non-floral related questions.

Responsibilities (General Manager)

  • Manage entire team of florists.
  • Monitor all departments of inventory and order/pick-up product when necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with all KPIs and trends of the store.
  • Attend meetings with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) and founder throughout the year.
  • Create weekly schedule for team.
  • Run and schedule staff meetings with co-owner(s) and staff.
  • Create price lists for all inventory and update staff with new product and prices.
  • Onboard and train new employees.
  • Create ad campaigns and creatives for marketing around the airport.
  • Keep staff up-to-date with all GTAA directives and audit procedures.
  • Look for new and exciting ways to grow business through the airport and surrounding communities, including workshops, introducing new inventory, UberEats delivery, etc.

Qualifications

  • Floral Design (weddings, funerals, everyday design) (4 years minimum).
  • Managing a team of florists or similar (1 year minimum).
  • Merchandising experience.
  • Social media and digital design experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to drive (with cargo space) is required.
  • Ability to apply, renew, and hold a Restricted Access Identification Card (RAIC) at the airport.
  • Knowledge of flowers and floral products.
  • Inventory/purchasing experience.
  • Ability to understand/communicate in French would be an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
