Our top client on the Oomple Platform is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team for a 12-month hybrid contract in Ottawa, ON.

The Sr. Project Manager will assist our client's ITS department by leading and implementing multiple initiatives around Data and Digital Strategy. The consultant will work closely with IT leadership and relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective planning, development, and implementation of these initiatives and to deliver all assigned initiatives on time, on scope and within budget following the ITS PMO standards and best practices.

The Sr. PM will plan, monitor and manage internal projects in collaboration with various teams involved. The Sr. PM mandate could include project planning, resourcing, staffing, vendor assessment, progress reporting, stakeholder management, communication in steering and cost benefit analysis/tracking.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field within Information Technology.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project exposure.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in project or program management, including 5+ years on large projects.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills working with various stakeholders
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management methodology, with the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, manage resource allocations, and facilitate productive team meetings.
  • Proven capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with a Product Manager.
  • Detail-oriented with an unwavering focus on the big picture and delivering results.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the power to inspire teamwork and motivate project teams.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex issues through keen instincts and organizational

The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the following:

  • Project Leadership & Execution
  • Oversee one or multiple end-to-end delivery of data modernization projects assigned.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that align business requirements with organizational goals, ensuring timely execution within scope and budget
  • Planning & Governance
  • Support Annual and Quarterly dept wide planning
  • Define and manage program/project roadmaps that support long-term business goals
  • Establish governance and performance metrics to ensure accountability and transparency

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $55.00-$70.00 per hour
