Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
  • Conduct patient assessments and take medical histories
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
  • Assist in the management of patient records using Cleardent software
  • Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans.
  • Provide support in dental assisting tasks as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and questions

Requirements

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in the province of practice
  • Experience with Cleardent software is preferred
  • Knowledge of orthodontics is a plus but not necessary.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication
  • Previous dental office experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
