DESCRIPTION - Sales Manager
An employee in this position will provide clients with high-quality estimates that balance market competitiveness while maintaining adequate profit margins. They will communicate with contractors, consultants, and clients to serve their needs, demonstrate the added value we bring to their project, and offer leadership within the estimating team. The Sales & Estimating Supervisor is also expected to support company growth initiatives by identifying opportunities for efficiency, participating in internal process improvements, and contributing to broader team and company goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Sales Manager
- Lead and collaborate within the estimating team, supporting teammates and providing mentorship and guidance when necessary.
- Work within Xactimate to build estimates according to insurance guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with insurance representatives and customers to clearly explain project scopes and costs.
- Follow up on estimates provided to obtain signed contracts and ensure smooth transition to project management.
- Prepare projects by coordinating detailed information with customers and creating comprehensive work orders.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to secure accurate information to build thorough estimates.
- Assist Project Managers by providing ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to streamline estimating processes and recommend improvements.
- Engage with and assist the General Manager to align estimating practices with sales strategies.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and partners to support business development and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze estimating outcomes to evaluate performance, suggest cost reductions, and help improve estimating policies where necessary.
- Represent the company brand in meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed to support business development and customer relationships.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES- Sales Manager
- Lead and mentor other estimators by offering training and guidance on best practices and strategies for success.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of new estimators as needed.
- Help foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and professional growth within the estimating and sales teams.
- Participate in strategic planning discussions regarding estimating practices and broader operational improvements.
- Assist management in identifying market trends, new service opportunities, and product innovations to ensure Meerkat Roofing & Exteriors stays competitive.
- Be proactive in problem recognition and resolution to maintain quality service and project profitability.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Sales Manager
- Familiarity with Xactimate is necessary.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in roofing, siding, and exteriors as an installer or extensive experience in sales or estimating in a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused, self-motivated approach.
- Ability and willingness to work closely with sales teams and support company sales initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to manage stress and handle large, diverse workloads.
- High capacity to prioritize, assess, and complete work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem sensitivity and problem-solving skills.
- Diligent work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding and compliance with company policies, procedures, practices, and safety protocols.
- Advance computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Sales Manager
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work with computers.
- Maintain ergonomic posture during tasks.
- Capable of lifting and carrying boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Physically able to conduct site inspections, including climbing ladders and navigating construction sites when necessary.
WAGE- Sales Manager
$85,000 to $110,000 annually

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
