The Country Manager for Canada is responsible for leading Spectra Precision's commercial and operational activities across the Canadian market. This role ensures strong market representation, customer engagement, and alignment with global sales and marketing strategies. Acting as the primary regional liaison, the Country Manager supports dealer networks, identifies market opportunities, and ensures Spectra Precision's laser and measurement products meet the needs of construction professionals nationwide. The position plays a critical role in strengthening brand presence and driving sustainable growth through technical expertise and customer partnerships.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all business operations within the Canadian territory to achieve sales and growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, dealers, and end users within the construction sector.
  • Represent Spectra Precision at industry events, trade shows, and customer demonstrations to promote product awareness and adoption.
  • Support dealer and customer training programs on Spectra lasers and related technologies, emphasizing hands-on product knowledge.
  • Identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing to develop and execute territory-specific business plans.
  • Ensure consistent alignment with Spectra Precision's quality, service, and operational standards.
  • Provide technical support and product expertise to customers and partners as required.
  • Manage budget, forecasting, and reporting for the Canadian territory.
  • Uphold company values and promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry with a strong technical background in laser-based leveling, grading, or measurement systems.
  • Proven experience in business or territory management, preferably within a precision equipment or construction technology company.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian construction market dynamics, distribution channels, and customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and operate remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital collaboration platforms.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Spectra Lasers or comparable laser positioning systems.
  • Previous experience supporting or managing dealer networks in Canada.
  • Technical sales experience in construction technology, surveying equipment, or positioning systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (preferred).
  • Knowledge of applicable construction standards and safety regulations.
