Position: Logistics Coordinator Reports to: Director, Logistics & Transportation  

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Logisticsteam Our Logistics Coordinator will manage all aspects of shipping routes and delivery as well as effectively manage and resolve customer concerns.

  • You have a working understanding of sea freight and port terminal operations

Experience

  • You have at least 1-2 years of work experience in ocean transportation, logistics and/or relevant background

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working in a food manufacturing facility
  • Experience managing import / export ocean shipments

Knowledge and experience working with GP (Great Plains)

things you will do…

  • Coordinate all logistics and transportation needs in a busy and growing food manufacturing environment
  • Process all shipments, small parcel orders, documentation, and related information
  • Establish relationships with transportation companies and recommend ways to reduce costs
  • Ensure timely and consistent follow up with designated departments, carrier companies, overseas shipments, etc.
  • Keep track of shipments and truck movement and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, customer issues, imports/exports, late orders and more
  • Review and approve all costs for shipments, set KPI's, and log both regularly
