Barrie, Ontario, Canada OrderEase Full time US$80,000 - US$140,000 per year

Company Overview

OrderEase is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company transforming how manufacturers, distributors, and retailers connect and transact. Our connected commerce platform simplifies wholesale ordering, automates workflows, and integrates ERPs, POS systems, and sales channels into a single, unified experience. We work with leading brands across multiple industries—including garden, lumber, hardware, flooring, and consumer goods—to bring efficiency, visibility, and scalability to the supply chain.

With over 30 employees, a rapidly scaling partner ecosystem, and an expanding footprint across North America, OrderEase is entering an exciting period of growth. We are building a finance team that can support this next stage of expansion, operational excellence, and investor readiness.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building processes, and want to make a meaningful impact in a scaling SaaS company—this is the place for you.

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Finance Manager to own our day-to-day financial operations, monthly close, billing, revenue, and reporting, while also supporting strategic finance functions such as forecasting, commissions, grants, SRED, and board reporting.

This is a
hybrid role
that blends:

  • Controller-level accounting discipline
  • Finance Manager-level analysis and forecasting
  • Revenue operations ownership
  • Audit, legal, and due diligence coordination

You will work closely with the CEO, Fractional CFO, external auditors, banks, and investors. Your work will directly support operational decisions, financial health, and scaling efficiency across the company.

If you're the type of person who loves both accurate books
and
strong financial insights—and you enjoy being the "go-to" for finance in an entrepreneurial environment—you will thrive here.

Key Responsibilities

Core Monthly Financial Operations

  • Own the month-end close (reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, variance analysis).
  • Manage billing and revenue operations, including weekly and mid-month invoicing, subscription updates, cancellations, onboarding fees, and revenue tie-outs.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payment collections.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable, vendor payments, and coding.
  • Manage payroll inputs, contractor payments, and recurring benefits administration.
  • Prepare the monthly financial reporting package and assist with department-level spend analysis.

FInancial Planning & Analysis

  • Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles.
  • Analyze revenue trends, deal margins, and customer onboarding economics.
  • Maintain cash flow forecasting and provide leadership with proactive insights.
  • Prepare KPIs including MRR/ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC, burn rate, and runway.

Quarterly & Annual

  • Calculate sales rep commissions, partner commissions, and bonus programs.
  • Prepare board reporting financial slides and commentary.
  • Support the annual review engagement with external accountants.
  • Coordinate insurance renewals and financial due diligence.
  • Prepare documentation for grants and SRED financing.
  • Assist with corporate updates, filings, and compliance requirements (OSC, CRA, articles, share issuances).
  • Maintain the
    cap table
and prepare investor documentation as needed.
  • Support banking-related due diligence and loan compliance.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel regarding contracts, debenture holders, and corporate matters.

Process & System Improvements

  • Improve financial workflows, controls, and automation as the business scales.
  • Strengthen billing workflow between Sales, Customer Success, Onboarding, and Finance.
  • Help build scalable finance operations for a growing SaaS organization.

Qualifications (must have)

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience
    in accounting, finance, or both.
  • Experience in a
SaaS, technology, or recurring revenue business
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    month-end close
, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to
    own billing and revenue operations
    (subscriptions, invoicing cycles, AR).
  • Proficiency with
    accounting software (QBO preferred)
    and strong Excel/Sheets skills.
  • Experience preparing materials for auditors, banks, and government programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Qualifications (nice to have)

  • CPA designation or working toward CPA (asset, not required).
  • Experience with
    HubSpot
    ,
    SaaSOptics
    ,
    Stripe
    , or integration-heavy billing workflows.
  • Exposure to
    FP&A
, scenario modeling, and SaaS financial metrics.
  • Experience with
    SRED
, grants, and government funding programs.
  • Experience supporting
    capital raises
    or investor relations.
  • Familiarity with
    ERP / POS integrations
    or revenue automation tools.

This is not a narrow "heads-down accountant" role — nor is it a high-level CFO role.

It's the critical
bridge
between operations and strategic finance. It is a
remote position
