Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate in individual who has a love for food. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation and quality control. As a Chef/ Kitchen Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food safety, presentation, and service, ensuring that every student receives quality meals .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality, child-friendly meals according to daily and weekly menus independently.
  • Manage kitchen operations independently, ensuring meals are prepared efficiently and on schedule.
  • Order food, supplies, and products; maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure the kitchen and all equipment are kept clean, sanitized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor portion sizes and reduce waste through efficient planning.
  • Follow all dietary guidelines, allergy protocols, and food safety standards.
  • Complete light facility support tasks as needed, including covering teacher breaks and assisting with laundry.
  • Collaborate with staff and administration to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen management preferred.
  • Ability to cook large quantities efficiently while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict meal schedules.
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and assistance.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift, stand, and perform repetitive tasks as required in a kitchen setting.
  • Create healthy menus.
  • Order and manage food inventory.
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.80-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
