About the Job
Our client is a leading real estate investment and asset management organization with in-house development capabilities and a diversified portfolio of real estate strategies. The firm oversees multiple fund platforms across growth, income, mortgage, residential, and specialty mandates, and is recognized for its collaborative, high-performing culture and rigorous approach to financial management.
This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented finance professional with deep accounting expertise, exceptional analytical ability, and the drive to take full ownership of complex fund reporting. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and detail-driven, with high expectations around accuracy, professionalism, and initiative. Candidates coming from public accounting (Big 4 or similar) who have transitioned into fund/real estate finance—or are ready to make that move—will excel in this role.
What You'll Accomplish in This Role
Financial Reporting & Consolidations
- Lead monthly and quarterly reporting cycles for multiple real estate funds
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, investor summary packages, and portfolio analyses
- Complete annual fund consolidations, audit working papers, and ASPE financial statements
- Liaise directly with external auditors and the internal tax team
Budgeting & Treasury
- Manage the annual budgeting process for assigned funds
- Oversee treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, managing borrowings, and debt allocation
- Prepare debt compliance packages and maintain capital models to ensure covenant compliance
Investor Reporting & Capital Activities
- Prepare and review capital calls, distributions, investor statements, and related documentation
- Maintain and test the integrity of the investor database
- Respond to investor queries and ensure accurate, timely delivery of information
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with asset management and investments teams on information requests
- Review SOAs and provide analysis as needed
- Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis supporting fund performance and internal decision-making
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- CPA designation (mandatory)
- 4–5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred
- Real estate or fund audit/finance experience an asset
- Strong understanding of ASPE and consolidated financial statements
- Advanced Excel skills; Yardi experience considered an asset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing deadlines
- Exceptional analytical ability with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and teamwork

Compensation & Details
Compensation:
$115,000 – $130,000 base salary plus 20–40% bonus
Location:
Toronto –
Onsite, 5 days/week
Vacation:
3 weeks
