About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Technical Intern – Level 1 Support to join our team for a 3-month internship. This role is designed for students who are currently enrolled in an IT or technology program and are looking to gain real-world technical support experience in a professional hybrid environment.

You will receive hands-on training and mentorship to help you succeed in responding to support calls, logging tickets, and resolving common IT issues. Interns who demonstrate strong performance, initiative, and a positive attitude will be considered for full-time paid employment at BITSUMMIT after the internship ends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and manage Level 1 support calls and service requests from internal users or clients.
  • Log and track issues using the internal ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems such as:
  • Password resets
  • Software access issues
  • Basic hardware troubleshooting
  • Microsoft 365 support
  • Escalate more complex technical issues to senior support staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of issues, actions taken, and resolutions.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and mentoring sessions.

Training & Support Provided

  • Introductory training on BITSUMMIT's internal tools, systems, and support processes.
  • Access to documentation, support workflows, and escalation protocols.
  • Regular check-ins with a mentor or supervisor for feedback and development.
  • Exposure to real-world IT operations, ticket handling, and client communication.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a recognized IT, Computer Science, or Technology program (college, university, or bootcamp).
  • No previous work experience required—training will be provided.
  • Strong interest in technical support and IT operations.
  • Basic understanding of Windows/macOS environments and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative in a support environment.
