The following is a short-term contract opportunity for approximately 10 months.

The Project Manager, Digital Transformation Initiative (DTI) works in collaboration with leadership and various internal and external partners to lead all aspects of the DTI project delivery. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role as the central coordinator to define the scope of the project and ensure timely execution while supporting change management and adoption strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the entire scope of the Digital Transformation Initiatives (DTI) project as assigned by department leadership:
  • Define the project scope, develop detailed project plans, Statements of Work (SOWs), manage and report on timelines, resources, budget and risks of implementation
  • Coordinate with internal partners to capture functional requirements and translate them into actionable system configurations and workflows
  • Serve as the primary liaison between CPSA and technology partners, ensuring the successful delivery of digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and promote data-driven decision-making, while ensuring privacy and security standards
  • Develop detailed project plans, Statements of Work (SOWs), and change management strategies to guide implementation
  • Lead and facilitate project planning meetings, manage follow-up task assignments and provide direction as required
  • Plan project evaluation methodology and outcome measures
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners throughout projects and build strong working relationships
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external partners to facilitate change management and adoption strategies.
  • Support with the development, review and maintenance of departmental process and procedure documentation:
  • Draft and manage templates, procedures, process maps and policies relating to workflows
  • Develop and craft departmental training manuals
  • Provide technical orientation and training to new hires
  • Coordinate and chair administrative team meetings to provide project support and updates on technology and process
  • In support of continuous quality improvement, review and make recommendations to update processes or procedures within the program.
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field.
  • 5 years of related experience managing complex projects, ideally involving digital system development, implementation or transformation.

  • Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Experience developing and managing vendor SOWs and ensuring contract deliverables.
  • Demonstrated digital/information management literacy and vendor management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation, system implementation, and change management principles.
  • Ability to be self-directed and to perform independently with minimal direction.
  • Expertise with influencing others to actively participate and engage without direct authority.

SALARY

The annual salary for this position is $95,251 and includes a small benefits package.

During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
