Program Facilitator
Job Summary
Program Facilitators are responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive environment where campers are enabled to develop tangible skills set out in the Tims Camps Program Framework. This is done through briefing, leading and debriefing activities to draw out understanding and self-awareness. Program Facilitators read the abilities of their group and adjust activities accordingly. They are responsible for assessing and managing risk and ensuring THFC program and wellness standards are followed.

This role will be based onsite at the Tim Horton Memorial Camp in Parry Sound, ON.

May 4, 2025 – June 5, 2025
What would you be doing?
Deliver high-quality, intentional programming designed to meet specific outcomes and develop positive skillsEstablish relationships with youth aged 11-17 that reflect respect, trust, and empathyInspire young people to discover their strengths, challenge limits, and build resilience and leadership capacity in a safe and supportive environmentEncourage camper development through their own processing and readiness, and recognize their achievementsProvide leadership and guidance to other staff, modeling inclusivity and mentorshipIdentify, assess, and appropriately manage risks and respond to risks, ensuring the safety of participants, guests and staff at all timesEnsure program areas are organized, stocked, and in good repairEnsure participants and staff are properly trained in activities and follow safety protocolsContribute positively to the camp team and cultureDeliver programs in accordance with THFC and accrediting body standardsReport incidents, and complete the appropriate documentationWork flexible hours while campers are present on siteSupport other camp departments as necessary, including but not limited to kitchen, maintenance, and housekeepingDoes this sound like you?
2 years of experience working with children/youth of various abilities, preferably in an outdoor settingAbility to exercise good judgement and professionalism when interacting with schools and community groupsExperienced facilitator. Demonstrates ability to adapt facilitation style based on individual and/or group needsSkilled in behaviour management and problem solvingCurrent Standard First Aid/CPR-C certificationLicensed with a valid G Class Driver's License, or equivalent (considered an asset)Acceptable criminal background checkAbility to live on-site for an extended period of time and work flexible hoursBenefits of working with us
