We're opening a brand-new Thai restaurant in Leslieville and are looking for a skilled Wok Chef with experience in Thai cuisine to join our culinary team. You'll play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food-safety standards, and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced kitchen.
Duties
- Cook a variety of Thai dishes using a wok, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Operate efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Comply with all food safety and sanitation standards to keep operations running smoothly.
- Assist with menu planning and developing new recipes that reflect the flavors of Thai cuisine.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to meet customer demands and deliver exceptional service.
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and ensure the proper storage and handling of all products.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a wok chef or in a similar role in a Thai kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of Thai cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
