Busser Job Responsibilities - The right person is committed to ensuring high-quality customer service and the capacity to handle the pressure of restaurant work. Duties include:

Supports waitstaff by setting up and replenishing server station and busser stations

Stocks water, desserts and linens, fills ice buckets, prepares bread for service

Delivers food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to the dining area in a timely manner, ensuring all items are accurate and presented beautifully

Assists servers during service when required by removing courses as completed, refilling water glasses, and being attentive to additional needs

Maintain cleanliness in the dining area throughout the evening, removing any debris.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly.

Support the kitchen staff as needed and communicates effectively with kitchen regarding order status and any special requests from guests.

Polishes cutlery and glassware

Prepares dining room for new guests by clearing and resetting tables

Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables, vacuuming floors, removing laundry and trash from the facility; cleaning bussing and server stations

Protects the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation health and safety policies

Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.

Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

Busser Qualifications and Skills

Must have a great attitude

Excellent customer service skills

Working knowledge of spirits, wine, and food

Great communication skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Previous experience in food handling or food service is preferred. Knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus, particularly in a hotel or high-volume setting.

A well-groomed and professional appearance is essential.

Ability to climb stairs throughout the evening

Must be able to lift and carry 35-40lbs (ex. box of water)

This is a part time position starting with 1-2 shifts per week. The restaurant is open Tuesday – Saturday evenings. We require the successful candidate to be available on Saturdays.
