Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. You must have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role involves working closely with clients who may have varying needs, including those requiring assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and specialized care for conditions such as dementia or disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and grooming.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
  • Document and report any significant changes in client behavior or condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
  • Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or caregiving is preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques and medication administration is essential.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and possess excellent organizational skills
  • Must speak Flent English and French
  • Spkeaing in Italian is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
