  • Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
  • Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed for tasks such as pouring and levelling concrete
  • Collaborate with carpenters to construct forms for pouring concrete
  • Perform heavy lifting and manual labor, including moving materials and equipment on-site.
  • Engage in renovation projects by restoring existing concrete surfaces or structures
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Participate in the installation of various concrete features, including sidewalks, driveways, and foundations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
