Welder, fitter

Lindome Structures is a local, family operated company that manufactures and erects modular warehouses. We currently have an opening for a welder / fitter. This is a full-time position, working Monday – Thursday, 10 hour work day.

Who we are looking for:

  • Someone with a positive attitude and a desire to learn and contribute

  • A person who is willing to stay with our company and grow as we do

  • Clean driving record and valid B.C. driver's license

  • C- Level welding ticket and at least 3 years of GMAW experience.

  • Our shop runs primarily MIG in Flat, Horizontal, Vertical Down positions

  • This is a production style welding position, so efficiency and ability to keep pace are important

What you will be doing:

  • Reading and interpreting shop drawings

  • Tacking and welding various brackets

  • Fitting and welding of components in a jig

  • Operating some shop tools such as band saws, drill presses, belt sander, iron workers and a brake press etc.

  • Driving a forklift

Wages and requirements:

  • Wages $30 - $33 per hour based on experience. Medical coverage after 6 months

  • Candidates will begin with a probationary period of 3 months as per the labor code

  • Wages and bonuses will be increased based on evaluations from peers and manager

  • You must have a valid driver's license and ability to get to work in Delta on time
