THE ROLE

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, within the Shared Accounting Services team, the Accounts Payable Technician supports the Business Units in the processing of invoices and the issuance of payments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Receipt and distribution of electronic invoices; 

• Verification and transfer of invoices to the invoice review, approval and processing systems; 

• Assign invoices to correct approvers; 

• Validation of invoice approvals to ensure everything is in accordance with our procedures and controls; 

• Issuance of payment lists; 

• Create accounting entries; 

• Respond to requests from various internal personnel and external suppliers;  

• Verification of supplier statements; 

• Any other related tasks. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

We want you to join our team Here's what we're looking for:

Education:

• AEC, DEP or DEC in Accounting

Experience:

• 1 year of relevant accounting experience. 

Knowledge and skills:

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; 

• Able to meet tight deadlines; 

• Be thorough while maintaining speed of execution; 

• Demonstrate high confidentiality in the handling of files; 

• Demonstrate a strong concern for customer service; 

• Able to work alone or in a group; 

• MS Excel (intermediate level) skills an asset. 

Language skills:

• Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
