Hourly Rate:

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

Nature of Work:

TA needs to provide mentoring to the students with significant office hours to help them with communication skills, team-building skills, and academic repository search skills.  Grading of assignments and presentations.

Minimum Requirements:

Preference will be given to candidates who have a previous experience TA the course , has a grade of A or better in a similar graduate course or workshop series, as well as having completed a significant project or internship or volunteer work related to their degree.  Attend a TA workshop if necessary.  The candidate's knowledge will need to be demonstrated during an interview.
