Position Summary
Alterra Experiences division is looking for a strategic and results-driven SVP, Commercial ("SVP") to lead our company's revenue-generating functions, including sales & business development, marketing, digital, and commercial analytics. As a key member of the Alterra Experiences executive team, and working with the Sales and Marketing leaders, the SVP will be responsible for the go-to-market strategy, driving top-line growth, expanding market presence, and enhancing the overall guest journey.

This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record of scaling and transforming businesses, driving lead generation and capture, and aligning cross-functional teams around a cohesive commercial strategy. The SVP will work closely with the President and other senior functional leaders to translate company goals into actionable plans, leveraging data, market insights, and customer feedback to inform decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a guest-first mindset. They will play a central role in shaping our go-to-market strategy, optimizing performance, and building a high-impact commercial organization to support the company's next phase of growth.

Essential Duties
Commercial Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with Alterra Experience divisions objectives to drive top-line revenue growth and ensure long-term profitability across all customer segments and channels.
  • Champion the implementation of effective initiatives, supporting organizational change and removing barriers along with ensuring resources for initiatives.
  • Lead and implement a new organizational structure that enables scalable commercial resources across both CMH Heli Skiing and Mike Wiegele Heli Skiing (MWHS).
  • Champion a guest-centric culture across all guest journey touchpoints to ensure high satisfaction, retention, and lifetime value.

Sales & Business Development

  • Working together with the VP Sales and other Sales team members, lead, scale, and optimize Alterra Experiences sales strategy to maximize impact for both CMH and MWHS.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, new market opportunities, and customer segments.
  • Work with our internal and external sales professionals to drive revenue generation, close rate efficiency, and profit creation.

Marketing & Brand Strategy

  • Working with the VP Marketing, oversee the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies that drive differentiation, support lead generation, brand awareness, and customer acquisition.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all channels and markets, including expansion into new marketing channels and touchpoints.

Digital Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with Alterra Experience divisions objectives, working in conjunction with the Shared Services team (including OneIT and Marketing).
  • Champion a seamless and integrated digital guest journey to increase brand perception and efficiency of the guest engagement journey.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Drive close collaborate between Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to align commercial goals with overall company strategy & company values.
  • Translate market feedback into actionable insights for product development and innovation.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems to measure performance and inform decision making and strategy.
  • Leverage customer data, market trends, and competitive analysis to guide commercial decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial roles, with Senior Executive experience
  • Strong track record of revenue growth and team leadership.
  • Experience proactively marketing, communicating, and driving sales to a broad range of audiences and markets.
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
  • Proven success leading and scaling cross-functional commercial teams.
  • Strong understanding of building marketing, sales, customer success, and digital growth strategies.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in high-growth or transformational environments is a plus.
  • Background in international markets or multi-channel go-to-market strategies.
  • Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and data analytics tools is a plus.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
