Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team on the Sunshine Coast, BC. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of our cable and satellite, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain telecommunications equipment including satellite and cable systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during installations.
• Provide excellent customer service during installations and service calls.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in telecommunications technology.
• Maintaining alarm systems
• Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or similar role.
• Strong electrical experience with low voltage systems.
• Cable Experience (Shaw, Rogers, ect)
• Knowledge of telecommunication technologies including WAN and telephony.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure setup and maintenance.
• Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Setup as a contractor with tools, ladders, and vehicle
