About Us
D Rock Paving is an established civil construction and paving contractor, widely recognized for delivering high-quality municipal infrastructure projects across Ontario. As we continue to grow, we are now expanding our services into the Commercial, Industrial, and Residential markets, offering Asphalt, Concrete, and Snow Clearing solutions.
To support this expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager who can identify new opportunities, generate leads, and convert them into long-term business relationships.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will spearhead D Rock Paving's entry into new sectors. The primary responsibility is to generate strong, qualified leads and convert them into signed contracts. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, established contacts, and the ability to build meaningful client relationships in the property management, commercial real estate, industrial operations, and residential development sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Commercial, Industrial, and Residential markets.
- Build a targeted client pipeline including property management firms, commercial property owners, REIT groups, industrial facilities, developers, and residential communities.
- Conduct market research to identify high-potential sectors and emerging opportunities.
- Convert leads into business through effective presentations, proposals, and negotiations.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business.
- Help in preparing quotes, tenders, and service proposals for Asphalt, Concrete, and Snow Clearing projects.
- Track leads, maintain sales reports, and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Represent D Rock Paving at industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings.
- Work closely with operations and estimating teams to ensure smooth project handover and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of sales/business development experience, preferably in construction, paving, property services.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to engage with decision-makers.
- Proven experience in lead generation and converting leads into revenue.
- Energetic, proactive, and target-driven personality.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Ontario.
Compensation
- Base Salary $60,000+ (Based on Experience) + Commission
- Performance-based incentives and long-term growth potential.
- Company Vehicle or Travel Allowance
