Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant food service setting, engaging with customers and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience in the food industry, especially as a barista, is preferred but not required. The position involves handling food and beverages with attention to safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following standard recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, dining area, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
  • Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
  • Follow food safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and hygiene regulations

Experience

  • Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
