Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Owner Operator Driver to join our team. This role is essential for transporting goods efficiently and safely across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service while managing their own vehicle. Experience with different types of trailers and freight is highly valued.

Duties

  • Operate a tractor-trailer for the transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Manage various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and dump trucks.
  • Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transport.
  • Utilize forklifts or other equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.

Experience

  • Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving is required.
  • Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in freight transportation is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of route driving and logistics management.
