Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing various types of vehicles, including heavy equipment such as heavy duty trucks and trailers. This role requires the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, such as engines, transmissions, and other components.
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle systems as needed for repairs.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are accounted for.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle needs and repair options.
  • Assist in heavy lifting and moving of equipment when necessary.

Skills

  • Atleast 2 years of certified mechanic experience.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to automotive repair.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and mechanics, particularly with heavy equipment operations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of safety standards while working with heavy machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail when diagnosing issues.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
