Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at FARSIDE. FARSIDE is a fun local bar that hosts bands and art shows. We play good music and we project VHS movies on shift. We serve an amazing community of people and it is our job to provide them with a safe and fun environment. We serve all walks of life and meet folks where they are at, with compassion and kindness.

Bartenders work solo during the week which means they are in charge of everything. Candidates must be observant, self starters with strong people skills.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for making classic cocktails, draught and drinks. We are bar-service ONLY, no table service. On weekends this is a volume job, during the week it's all interpersonal skills.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including proper storage of liquor and supplies.
  • Process transactions accurately and perform nightly cashouts
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders, answering questions about the menu, and making recommendations.
  • Monitor guest consumption of alcohol to ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations and promote responsible drinking.
  • Have fun, set a vibe, choose the music
  • Be aware of everyone in the room and make sure people are safe

Skills

  • MUST have at least 2 years of experience working behind a bar (not floor or barista)
  • Genuainly be interested In talking with guests. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Attention to detail, noticing when things aren't working as they should
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • A friendly demeanor with strong hospitality skills that enhance guest experiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
