Summary

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for overseeing all Maintenance and HVAC responsibilities of the company, ensuring that all equipment, systems and processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize production, increase efficiency, and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with venders as required on behalf of Miracle Valley to insure optimal value and price on all goods and services in the interest of the company.
  • Standardize the sanitation team and process to ensure communication with maintenance and cultivation and compliance with facility standards and practices. Build out processes and resources to aid staff in efficient and effective sanitation.
  • Monitor and contribute to oversight of all site security measures and systems.
  • Provide support for remote monitoring and system maintenance to ensure compliance and maintain site security measures.
  • Develop and advise on Health and Safety practices and provide training where necessary.
  • Develop and implement effective preventative and corrective maintenance programs
  • Ensure scheduled maintenance of all systems
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Oversee and assist contractors on site
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and repairs with contractors when applicable
  • Perform regular perimeter checks of exterior and interior site systems.
  • Grounds maintenance
  • Maintaining and repairing production equipment such as dehumidifiers and trimming machines
  • Maintain and repair facility systems such as HVAC and irrigation
  • Trouble shooting mechanical issues through pre-established procedures
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times
  • Proper documentation and record keeping.
  • Adhering to and enforcing company safety policies and procedures
  • Train and mentor junior employees
  • Other duties as assigned Adhere to Health Canada regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for cannabis production facilities.

Experience / Education

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance, environmental controls, or facility management.
  • Experience working in cannabis cultivation, greenhouse operations, or pharmaceutical environments is a plus.
  • Hands on with strong technical aptitude
  • Refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of air circulation, dehumidification, and CO2 monitoring systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems independently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
