In this role you will be responsible for assessing business needs and inspiring cross-functional product teams to find the fastest way to achieve value around those needs. The role focuses on delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, processes, and associate and customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality products within their designated product or program.
The Principal Product Manager is a seasoned product manager with 2-4 years relevant work experience, a proven track record of delivering excellent results and has had people management experience. They define the product strategies and build the roadmaps that deliver an interconnected experience while communicating across all levels of the organization. Principal Product Managers work closely with developers, designers, and business partners and report to a Senior Manager, Product Management. They evangelize the product and/or program, and continuously coach and mentor direct reports and peers.
Key Responsibilities:

- Manages merchandising products required to deliver business value to drive sales
- Developing and maintaining a short- and long-term program/product roadmap, prioritizing features based on potential value to the customer and business
- Translates business goals and end user needs into product strategy; communicates direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners
- Partners with Finance to understand financial needs and assist in the creation of business plans for new opportunities
- Identifies goals, metrics and analytics to determine product value; continually makes recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings
- Monitors research as well as the competitive landscape to ensure that product directions balance both the user needs and business goals of driving sales, improving efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction
- Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. Strong prioritization skills with excellent stakeholder expectation setting
- Building partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives. Maneuvering comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics
- Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Managing a team to oversee small to large internal/external and cross-functional projects; projects include enhancements to customer and associates experience, capital initiatives, standard product releases, defect/issue prioritization and improving merch tools and processes

Minimum Education:
- University degree (4) year program or the knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

- Minimum 2 - 4 years' experience including experience as a product leader, managing complex products.
Minimum Leadership Experience:
- 1–3 years of prior experience in leadership and management
