Toronto, ON – On-site (5 days per week)

Our client, a
leading global real estate investment and asset-management organization
, is seeking a Finance Manager to join its corporate finance team in downtown Toronto. This role will oversee financial reporting, investment operations, and debt management across a diverse North American real-estate portfolio.

The ideal candidate is a
CPA-designated finance professional
with strong technical accounting expertise, a solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP, and proven experience leading finance teams within complex, multi-entity environments. Responsibilities

  • Oversee
    financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and audit processes
    for investment entities.
  • Manage the
    onboarding and offboarding of investments
    , including fund flow, loan agreements, and purchase-price allocations.
  • Prepare
    valuation materials, board packages, and investor reports
    analyzing key return metrics (IRR, MOC, TWR).
  • Lead
    debt-management and compliance activities
    , supporting financing, refinancing, and acquisitions.
  • Supervise and mentor a
    team of 3 + finance professionals
    , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and professional growth.
  • Maintain
    intercompany reconciliations
    and strengthen internal controls.
  • Partner cross-functionally with
    tax, asset-management, and capital-markets
    teams to optimize performance and reporting.

Requirements

  • CPA designation (CPA, CA preferred).
  • 8 + years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally with exposure to
    real estate or capital-markets
    .
  • Strong technical knowledge of
    IFRS, US GAAP, and consolidations
    .
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with
    Yardi, OneStream, or similar
    systems is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience
    managing and developing finance teams
    .
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
