Job Summary
We are a private energy company based in Calgary. We are in search of a Bookkeeper/Office Administrator.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background AR, AP, data entry and bookkeeping, with proficiency in various oil and gas accounting software. This role involves managing invoices, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and providing analysis to support cash management.
Duties
- Manage invoices and accounts payable.
- Conduct account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
- Utilize accounting software for bookkeeping tasks.
- Organize and maintain files/records system.
- Comply with coding requirements for accounting and joint venture allocations.
- Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- First point of contact for many suppliers of services and goods, including answering phones and directing inquiries.
- Assist wit stationary and toner orders for office equipment, along with other administrative tasks.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge in :
- The oil and Gas Industry
- Accounting principles/rules and GAAP.
- Oil accounting software, including JV Nexus, Qbyte, IHS Accumap
- Accounting software, including QuickBooks, Excel, Adobe, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Joint venture accounting and project/AFE procedures.
- Land administration and practices
- Office systems, file and records maintenance.
In addition, candidates should have strong computer and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, good oral and written communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.94-$28.27 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
