Assistant Store Manager – GK Fashion Fabrics
Are you passionate about fabrics and retail operations, and ready to support the leadership of a creative and growing fabric store? GK Fashion Fabrics is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Store Manager to support the overall management of our store, including in-store operations and online order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure a smooth, efficient, and customer-focused environment.
- Assist in supervising store staff, assigning tasks, and following up to ensure responsibilities are completed efficiently.
- Manage and coordinate online orders, including order verification, staff follow-up, and timely dispatch.
- Create and manage shipping labels for online orders through Shopify, Etsy, or courier platforms, ensuring accuracy in addresses, weights, and shipping methods.
- Coordinate packing and shipping processes with staff to ensure online orders are prepared, packed, and shipped on time.
- Monitor and update order statuses, track shipments, and handle customer follow-ups related to online orders and deliveries.
- Assist in managing social media platforms, responding to inquiries, and promoting products, sales, and events.
- Monitor inventory levels across both in-store and online platforms; assist with stock updates and barcode labeling.
- Use fabric knowledge to assist customers in selecting appropriate materials for their projects.
- Help maintain visual merchandising standards and an organized store layout.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, both in-store and online.
- Assist in analyzing sales performance, online order trends, and customer feedback to support business growth.
- Support planning and execution of store promotions, events, and workshops.
- Assume responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role.
- Experience with online order processing, shipping coordination, and label creation.
- Strong interest in fabrics, crafts, sewing, or DIY projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Familiarity with Shopify, Etsy, and courier/shipping platforms.
- Experience managing business social media accounts.
- Multitasking, creative mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience assisting in overall retail store management.
- Knowledge of inventory systems and barcode labeling.
- Experience handling high-volume online orders.
- Creative background in sewing or crafting.
- Proven ability to support sales targets and operational efficiency.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position
- Working days include weekdays and weekends
- Must be available to work weekends
