Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. Very flexible schedule . The ideal candidate will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' quality of life through specialized therapeutic interventions in various clinical settings, including hospitals and acute care environments.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing safety.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
  • Educate patients and their families about communication techniques and strategies for ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in case management activities to ensure comprehensive patient care continuity.

Skills

  • Proven experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist within hospital or acute care settings is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and healthcare environments.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs.
  • Ability to perform detailed assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients and families.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $125.00 per hour
