Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with disabilities or dementia.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
  • Support clients with daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Document client progress and report any concerns to nursing staff or management.
  • Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety of both the client and yourself.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dementia care, nursing homes, home care, or assisted living is preferred.
  • A background in nursing or patient care is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
  • Fluency in Farsi is a plus.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
