Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Mechanic Helper to support our certified mechanics in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This position is ideal for someone with at least two years of hands-on experience in truck and trailer repair who is eager to learn, develop technical skills, and grow within the trade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanics in performing repairs, maintenance, and inspections on heavy trucks and trailers
  • Support with diagnostic testing and system checks
  • Prepare tools, equipment, and parts required for repair tasks
  • Perform basic repairs such as oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire work under supervision
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support shop operations and complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced technicians
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license (Class 1 an asset)
