Maintenance Aide

Maintenance Aide -15 hours per week

The maintenance aide will report to the Environmental Services Manager. You will be tasked with performing maintenance duties such as electrical, plumbing, building upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Repair damaged walls, painting of resident rooms and common area space
  • Complete all routine fire and other preventative inspections on a scheduled basis and ensure appropriate record keeping.
  • complete all routine inspections of lighting and change bulbs as required
  • Repair residents' equipment such as beds, chairs, lighting etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to perform required physical duties which may include bending, kneeling, reaching, standing for extended periods of time, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying boxes, tools and equipment.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID – 19
