Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team in Prince George. In this critical role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions developed for our clients. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and document comprehensive test plans for both internal and client-facing software projects
- Execute test cases, monitor software and network performance, and thoroughly document outcomes
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues prior to deployment
- Contribute to the enforcement of QA policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with Meta's standards
- Support the delivery and administration of our information management solutions alongside the client services team
- Engage directly with internal teams and client representatives to develop, test, and deploy customized software and process solutions
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in software/system testing within professional environments
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing tools, and reporting practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 3 to 5 years experience supporting major capital projects from planning through execution phases in an IT or information management capacity
- Comfortable working directly with client representatives, both in person and via Microsoft Teams
- Experience working in the Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online environment
- Ability to assess issues, evaluate options, and recommend solutions using sound judgment
