Park Street Education: After School Financial Literacy Program (Winter Term 2026)

Park Street Education is currently running our virtual pilot Financial Literacy Program, this Fall Term. In January 2026 we are expanding the program across more classrooms and communities, and we are looking for passionate, knowledgeable teachers to join our Winter Term team.

About the program

The Park Street Financial Literacy Program is an eight-week interactive course for students in Grades 4 to 8 and their families. The program turns financial education into something fun, practical, and empowering. Through real-world examples and hands-on activities, students learn how to:

  • Distinguish between needs and wants and make smart spending choices
  • Build simple budgets and manage expenses
  • Save effectively and set achievable financial goals
  • Understand how banks, credit, and interest work
  • Explore careers, entrepreneurship, and financial planning for the future

Each session includes take-home family activities so parents and caregivers can build financial confidence alongside their children, creating impact that extends beyond the classroom.

What we are looking for

  • Experience working with young learners in Grades 4 to 8 in educational or mentoring settings
  • Strong knowledge and experience in financial literacy, gained through teaching, professional practice, or personal financial education initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to make complex ideas engaging and accessible
  • A commitment to equity in education and empowering students through real-world skills
