Lead Service Technician/Mechanic

The opportunity
TCR is a global leader in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) solutions, and we are seeking an experienced
Lead Service Technician
to join our Montreal team. This role is pivotal in ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance while mentoring and guiding junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance on GSE and/or commercial trucks to OEM and TCR standards.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Perform refurbishing tasks (welding, painting, fabrication, bodywork, upholstery).
• Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring skills development and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate daily operations, providing technical guidance and ensuring productivity.
• Maintain accurate work orders, parts records, and documentation.
• Promote workplace safety, applying 5S principles and TCR's safety protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotations for urgent operational needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems repair.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and training abilities.
• Advanced understanding of schematics, manuals, and maintenance plans.
• Experience with GSE or commercial trucks (asset).
• Problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365; fluent in English (French is an asset).
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs / 23 kg

The Pay Range for this Position is: $ $38.00/hour (based on experience/qualifications).

Technicien de service principal
expérimenté pour rejoindre son équipe de Montréal. Ce poste joue un rôle clé dans le maintien des normes élevées de sécurité, de qualité et de performance opérationnelle, tout en encadrant et en guidant les techniciens juniors.

Responsabilités Principales

• Diriger la maintenance préventive et corrective sur GSE et/ou camions commerciaux selon les normes OEM et TCR.
• Diagnostiquer et réparer des problèmes mécaniques, hydrauliques et électriques complexes.
• Effectuer des inspections pour assurer la conformité aux normes de sécurité et d'exploitation.
• Réaliser des travaux de remise à neuf (soudure, peinture, fabrication, carrosserie, rembourrage).
• Encadrer et former les techniciens juniors, assurer le développement des compétences et le respect des normes.
• Coordonner les opérations quotidiennes en apportant un soutien technique et en assurant la productivité.
• Tenir à jour les bons de travail, l'inventaire des pièces et la documentation.
• Promouvoir la sécurité au travail, appliquer les principes 5S et les protocoles de sécurité TCR.
• Participer aux rotations de garde pour répondre aux besoins opérationnels urgents.

Qualifications

• Minimum de 4 ans d'expérience en réparation de systèmes mécaniques, hydrauliques et électriques.
• Solides compétences en leadership, mentorat et formation.
• Maîtrise avancée des schémas, manuels et plans de maintenance.
• Expérience en maintenance de GSE ou camions commerciaux (atout).
• Aptitudes en résolution de problèmes et en gestion du temps, avec capacité à gérer les priorités sous pression.
• Maîtrise des applications MS Office 365; anglais courant (français un atout).
• Capacité à travailler à l'extérieur par tous les temps et à soulever jusqu'à 50 lb / 23 kg
