Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

  • Operate commercial trucks to transport freight efficiently and safely across designated routes
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to keep vehicles in optimal condition
  • Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management when required

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license BC CLASS 1 with a clean driving record
  • Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to trucking and freight handling
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and vehicle maintenance records
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks as needed
