Rock Drum Instructor

School of Rock Markham is seeking talented drummers to teach private lessons and eventually live rock band group rehearsals/shows. We currently teach vocals, keys, drums, guitar and bass guitar to ages 6 to adult and also have an early childhood music education program for ages 4-6. Multi-instrumentalists are a plus.
School of Rock is the music school you wish you'd had when you were a kid. We offer private music lessons, and our group rock band rehearsals teach our students how to grow as musicians, perform and take their playing to new heights. To get there, we look for the right music teachers who can not only teach private music lessons but who can also run our live rock band group rehearsals and get them performance-ready.
Requirements:
4 or more years of experience performing music professionally and/or teaching
Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
Strong organizational skills
Enthusiastic, flexible, patient and positive demeanour
Enjoys working with children and young adults
Good judgment is a must
Work Hours: Weekday evenings and Weekends
School of Rock music instructors are passionate about music, are incredibly good musicians and know how to ROCK. Because we are primarily a children's program, you need to be over 19 to teach here and be able to pass a background check. If you have the above, live within driving distance and have your own transportation, then we want to hear from you. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY No out-of-country applicants will be considered
