Toronto, Ontario, Canada Alternative Payments Full time
What we're seeking

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Product Manager ready to step into a Head of Product role to join our growing team at Alternative Payments. You'll be instrumental in building organizational structure and driving execution excellence across our payments platform — helping us scale from a small product team to a systematic product delivery.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance high-level strategic planning with direct project ownership. You'll be involved throughout the product lifecycle, establishing product processes, mentoring our PM team, and working closely with engineering and design to deliver features that solve real customer problems in the IT services and accounts receivable automation space.

This is a hybrid position based in Toronto (Monday to Wednesday in-office, Thursday and Friday remote).

What you'll do
  • Own Strategic Roadmap: Help shape and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Prioritize initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and market insights.
  • Feature Ownership & QA: Collaborate with engineering on feature development. Take ownership of testing and validating releases to ensure they meet product specs, deliver value, and provide a smooth user experience.
  • Create cross-functional workflows: Work with engineering, customer success, marketing, and sales to communicate product requirements, manage delivery timelines, and ensure successful feature rollouts.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay on top of industry trends, competitor offerings, and technology developments to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Measure & Iterate: Define product success metrics. Monitor feature performance and user adoption, and use insights to make continuous improvements.
  • Set excellence standards: Lead by example through hands-on work, demonstrating what high-quality executions look like.
What you'll bring
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in payments and fintech.
  • Experience with payment systems and accounts receivable workflows.
  • Proven track record in high-growth companies, or experience in startups or early-stage companies.
  • Strong background in directly owning and delivering complex technical projects while managing strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Experience working with remote teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with APIs, payment systems, or technical products.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and tools like Linear, JIRA, Trello, or similar.
Nice-to-haves
  • Understanding of or ability to quickly learn the IT services landscape (MSPs).
  • International work experience, learning and adapting to unfamiliar business domains or industry-specific workflows in foreign markets.
  • Experience scaling product teams and mentoring peers.
  • Familiarity with payment compliance and regulations.
  • Background in UX/UI design, wireframing, or technical documentation.
What we offer
  • Competitive salary: Individual pay is determined by factors including relevant skills, experience, education & training. The typical compensation range for this role is: $150,000 - $200,000 CAD/year.
  • Equity shares (we just raised a Series A).
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Yearly Learning & Development budget and laptop reimbursement stipend upon joining.
  • Employee Referral Program.
  • Hybrid work with a flexible schedule.
  • Opportunity to work with a global, dynamic and innovative team who truly cares about making a real impact in a rapidly growing industry.
