Ski Technician

Cleve's and Ocean Trail is a locally owned and operated ski and snowboard shop committed to delivering top-quality gear, expert service, and a passion for the mountains. We're looking for a Ski Shop Technician who shares our love for winter sports and takes pride in delivering top-notch service to our customers.

Position Summary:

As a Ski Shop Technician, you'll be responsible for tuning, mounting, repairing, and maintaining skis and snowboards. You'll work hands-on with the latest gear, help customers make informed decisions, and ensure everyone leaves the shop ready to hit the slopes safely and confidently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ski and snowboard tuning, including edging, waxing, and base repairs.
• Mount, adjust, and test ski bindings to industry standards.
• Maintain tuning equipment and workstations.
• Inspect gear for wear, damage, or improper setup.
• Assist customers with equipment selection, sizing, and technical questions.
• Keep accurate service records and follow safety procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and new tech in the industry.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a ski/snowboard shop or similar setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ski/snowboard equipment and tuning techniques.
• Comfortable using tuning tools, including edge grinders, wax irons.
• Great attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Friendly, professional attitude and solid communication skills.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays during the winter season.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.65-$16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week

Experience:

• Ski: 1 year (preferred)
